Bistro Du Jour Brings French Cuisine to The Wharf

A touch of Paris is coming to Washington, DC—Bistro Du Jour, an all-day Parisian café, opens on November 3, 2021, inviting guests to relax and unwind while overlooking the waterfront and passersby at the corner of Wharf Street and District Square. This classic French bistro showcases a tremendous range of food and drink, from high-quality coffee to handmade cocktails, and from fresh-baked pastries by Mah Ze Dahr Bakery to late-night French seafood. With breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Bistro Du Jour will have an all-day menu that will quickly turn locals into regulars.
In the morning, breakfast-goers can stop for a fresh pastry and La Colombe coffee, or sit down an indulge in Mah-Ze-Dahr's award-winning pastries like cream scones, turkey & gruyere croissants, brioche donuts, and cinnamon rolls. Don't miss breakfast classics like brioche French toast, Quiche Florentine, and Belgian Waffles accompanied by fresh-squeezed orange juice.
For lunch and dinner, the menu transitions to traditional French classics like Croque Madame, Oeufs Sur La Plat (Mornay sauce, sauteed button mushroom), and Confit De Carnard (French green lentils, red wine shallots). The menus also feature carefully curated cocktails, an extensive bubbly list, L'Aperitif, beer, and wine.
The styling of the café adds a contemporary twist to the archetypal Parisian bistro, blending tradition with touches of French warmth. The interiors are warm and fresh, with furniture directly from France. During the warmer months, the outdoor awning opens to the breeze, while throughout the colder months, the space is enclosed and heated.
Bistro Du Jour is located at 99 District Square SW. The restaurant opens on Wednesday, November 3, then remains open seven days a week. Make an advanced reservation to dine at Bistro Du Jour for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner.
