
New Bubble Tea Shop E-Tea Opens at The Wharf
WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 3, 2022)
When was the last time you tried something for the first time? Discover new flavors at The Wharf's newest shop, E-Tea. The fresh-brewed tea shop in District Square is excited to invite in guests for traditional Taiwanese tea, bubble tea, rice wraps, and pastries.
Bubble tea, also known as boba tea or pearl milk tea, is steeped loose leaf tea that can be mixed with milk, fresh fruit, and tapioca pearls. E-Tea's menu features milk-based teas like Brown Sugar Bubble Tea and Thai Tea, as well as fruit-based teas like Dragon Fruit Rose Black Tea and Passion Green Tea.
The shop also features a wide selection of Asian and Western pastries, including strawberry cream Belgian waffles, and E-Tea's signature Onigiri, rice balls wrapped in seaweed and filled with flavors like spiced tofu or tuna.E-Tea owner Leopold Liao (who also owns DC bubble tea shops SecreTea and Beautea) has commissioned an iconic mural at E-Tea at The Wharf that makes a picture-perfect backdrop for your tea and food photos. E-Tea is located at 49 District Square SW. The grab-and-go style restaurant opens on Thursday, March 3, and remains open daily from 11:30am-8:30pm.
