Celebrate Christmas and Ring in the New Year at The Wharf
Pop the bubbly! The restaurants at The Wharf have exciting holiday happenings planned for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Many of our restaurants are celebrating the holidays with special Christmas tasting menus for the whole family and New Year’s Eve parties with champagne toasts and DJs.
We have gathered all the information about which restaurants at The Wharf are open on Christmas Eve and which restaurants at The Wharf are open on Christmas. In addition, we have the definitive list of best bars for New Year's Eve at The Wharf. Although we have lots events with fireworks each year, The Wharf does not have a fireworks show on New Year's Eve.

Christmas Celebrations at The Wharf:
Del Mar de Fabio Trabocchi – Celebrate Christmas Eve at Del Mar with an exquisite four-course Chef's Tasting menu, or enjoy a la carte dining in the evening. The four course Chef’s Tasting menu is $225 per person. The restaurant is open from 5pm-10:30pm on Christmas Eve (and closed on Christmas Day). Make a reservation to celebrate.
La Vie – This Christmas, La Vie is hosting Christmas Eve Brunch from 11am-3pm and Christmas Eve Dinner from 5pm-10pm. On Christmas Day, the restaurant will only serve brunch from 10am-4pm. The restaurant will also be open the day after Christmas for brunch from 11am-3pm and dinner from 5pm-10pm. This holiday season, also experience La Vie’s winter igloos on their penthouse that overlook the Washington Channel.
Moon Rabbit – This Christmas, let Chef Kevin Tien cook for you and your loved ones with the prepackaged to-go Holiday Special. The entree includes a 48-Hour Char Siu Whole Smoked Brisket with Ginger Scallion Rice and Umami Butter, Sauteed Garlicky Bok Choy, and more. The Christmas Holiday Special is available for pickup on December 24 and December 25 and serves 4 people for $250. Moon Rabbit is also open for dining on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Mi Vida – Join Mi Vida for a Mexican-themed Christmas Eve and Christmas meal. Mi Vida's holiday menu includes Pozole Verde (Hominy, Mushroom & Butternut Squash Soup, Tostada, Almond Crema, Lettuce), Callos Con Mole De Avellanas (Pan-Seared Jumbo Sea Scallops, Hazelnut Mole, Apple Relish Platos Principales), Mixiote De Pollo (Banana Leaf, Slow-Braised Chicken Leg, Guajillo-Ancho Sauce, Pickled Vegetables, White Rice), and more. The Grill – The Grill is featuring a special holiday menu from December 24 to December 31. The menu includes Braised Short Rib, Pan-Roasted Striped Bass, Dessert Chocolate Bread Pudding, and more. Make a reservation to dine.
Bistro Du Jour - The French cafe is offering a special holiday menu from December 24-December 31. The menu includes Soupe Aux Chataigne (roasted chestnut soup) for an appetizer, Bouillabaisse (seafood stew) for dinner entrée, and Panais Rotis Au Miel (roasted parsnips) for dessert. ilili - The Lebanese restaurant located in District Square at The Wharf is hosting Christmas Eve Brunch (11am-2pm) and Dinner (5pm-8:30pm). Brunch is $80 per person and $40 for children under 12. The brunch menu features brunch entrees including Shakshuka (poached eggs), Sfeeha Danish (lamb pie), and more. Dinner is $115 per person and $60 for children under 12. The dinner menu features Hearth Roasted Free Range Chicken, Lamb Rack, Roasted Squash, and more. Make a reservation.
The Wharf Ice Rink – Start a new family tradition and skate at The Wharf Ice Rink on Christmas Eve. The Wharf Ice Rink will be open from 12pm-6pm on Christmas Eve and 12pm-8pm on Christmas Day. Learn more about The Wharf Ice Rink and plan your visit.
New Year's Eve Parties at The Wharf:
12 Stories – Ring in the New Year at 12 Stories' New Year’s Eve party with Great Energy Group. Each ticket is $85 and includes a complimentary Casamigos cocktail of your choice and a complimentary glass of champagne. Purchase a ticket through Eventbrite to celebrate.
Boardwalk Bar & Arcade - Join Boardwalk Bar & Arcade for their first New Year’s Eve party! Tickets will include a 4 hour premium open bar, access to a beach boardwalk-inspired food buffet, a champagne toast at midnight, music, dancing, NYE/holiday decorations, party favors, and more! Reserve a ticket.
Brighton SW1 - Enjoy Brighton's NYE Open Bar from 10pm-12am. DJ SOREAL will be spinning three sets from 10pm-2:30am. Tickets are $120 and will be available for advance purchase beginning on December 20, or at Brighton on 12/31. For inquiries, contact kandis@brighton-dc.com or 202-553-2345.

ilili – Join ilili at their “Thousand and One Midnights" New Year’s Eve bash, an Arabian-Nights-inspired evening of entertainment and decadence. Their five-course culinary experience kicks off at 9pm and includes belly dancers, a DJ, saxophonist, mobile photo booth, party favors and a champagne toast for $195. Reserve now!
Kaliwa – Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Kaliwa’s New Year’s Eve party, which lasts from 10pm-2am. Tickets are $150 per person and include a buffet, 2 drink tickets for the open bar, a champagne toast, photobooth and a live DJ. To purchase your ticket and learn more, email brooke@kaliwadc.com.
La Vie – Ring in the New Year at La Vie’s 4th Annual A Midnight in Paris Soiree from 9pm-2am. The restaurant is offering three experiences: General Admission, VIP Admission, and Velvet Rope Experience, including reservations of their rooftop igloos overlooking the river and monuments. Moon Rabbit – On 12/31, the doors to Moon Rabbit’s NYE soiree ($375, excluding tax and 20% gratuity) opens - starting with a Tarot card reader, a Champagne and Caviar Bar, a premium Cocktail bar, a fabulous Raw bar and Chef Kevin Tien’s live action culinary stations which will include Chef friends fellow GMA Inspiration Award winner & Eater DC's Hottest Chef Tim Ma and Chopped Next Gen winner Martel Stone, who will provide culinary treats in addition to Chef Tien's succulent Pig roast, plus a sincerely over-the-top Dessert bar by Pastry Chef Susan Bae (8:30pm-11:30pm). Mi Vida – Mi Vida is offering a special dinner menu on New Year's Eve. The menu includes Camaron & Callos en Aguachile (Shrimp & Scallops, Red Onions, Cucumbers, Jalapeño, Lime Platos Principales), Budin de Langosta Con Suiza (Corn Tortillas Stacked with Butter-Sautéed Maine Lobster, Creamy Tomatillo Sauce, Chihuahua Cheese) Tablas (Bone-in, Slow-Braised Short Ribs, Mestiza Salsa, Creamy Rajas Postre) and more. Pearl Street Warehouse – Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Pearl Street Warehouse with a live performance by Gordon Sterling & The People w/ Wake the Rooster. The concert starts at 9pm and tickets are $30 per person and include a complimentary toast at Midnight. Purchase a ticket.
The Anthem – Ring in the New Year at the DC Proud Inaugural Ball honoring Mayor Muriel Bowser. The event starts at 8pm and is free to everyone. Must reserve a free ticket.
Union Stage – Have a Harry New Year during Union Stage’s Harry Styles New Year Spectacular. The venue will be playing all your favorite Harry Styles & One Direction songs. General Admission is $30 and Premier Plus is $40. Purchase a ticket online.
